Thinking of starting, doctor recommends Testosterone cypionate 200 mg, gonadorelin acetate and Anastrozole. What’s the thought other suggestion was testosterone cypionate 200 mg , HCG and Anastrozole. Difference in cost 170 for 10 weeks.

    thanks

Watch the Anastrozole. It is an estrogen inhibitor, and if your testosterone is balanced at the right level you shouldn't need it. My current provider took me off of it, because my estrogen level was at or near zero. As counterintuitive as it may seem, you need a certain level of estrogen to "feel right", and stay healthy. There are some studies that indicate that its use may cause bone mineral loss.

I've been reading this thread for the past couple of months along with other research that I have done, and have come to the conclusion that this is the path that I want to take. In the past three years or so, it has become more and more difficult to keep muscle, loose weight and maintain my energy levels…and well, keeping up in the bedroom. I exercise regularly (strength training), eat healthy and still I am struggling. Last week I visited my doctor and told him what my goals are and that I am interested in TRT. I got a consultation and visited with a so-called specialist yesterday. I was not impressed… mainly by what he was not telling me and, he is middle-aged like me and looks like he is about 5 months pregnant. Today I spoke with an advisor from a company called HealthGAINS, based out of South Florida. They seem legit and listened to what my goals are without telling me that “sometimes your age catches up to you, and you have to just accept it” bullshit. Anyway…their program allows me to do IM at home, and they will monitor my progress via the routine bloodwork. My first set of labs and consultation will cost $695. After they review my labs, they will advise and provide me with a 6-month supply of T and needles for an additional $2995. I really do not know it that is a reasonable price or not. If it is fine, and if they will help me achieve my goals, then fine as well. If not, then I will continue my search. Please advise.

Its a little high, but having a hand to hold on to in tbe beginning is priceless. If T was an OTC item, I would not need a doc at all. But the USA being what it is...

Start with them...but be on the look out for an easier way.

I get my pins at West End Medical. Syringes and two needles...one for drawing and one for pinning for maybe 50 bucks for 100. I pin twice a week so 100 syringes and pins last a long time.

The T is about $100 for one 10 ml vial of 200 mg Test. At roughly 1 ml+ per week one vial will last about two months.

I do my own blood at a local lab...that is the biggest cost at $150 every six months...sooner if Ive made any changes.

I discuss with my guys if I have any ??? but have educated myself to manage my own HRT.

Not for everyone I guess...but I like being in control.

Thanks for the input sir! I do like the fact that I can have my own blood done at any lab that I choose locally, the results are just forwarded to them. I also like the idea of having that hand in the beginning.

It's an individual thing. A few months to a year. Some folks seem to experience minimal atrophy.

Many thanks for your input; I have been on this program since October 2020.
