I remember when I was in high school a teacher told our class if you're going to work out, focus on your chest and shoulders -- BP and military .... that way you look "big" and people wouldn't mess with you. He may have been on to something!

Or an indication of what the person is capable of doing themselves? After all Hitler was not the one actually preforming the atrocities, he was content to let others preform them for him.

A sociopath will have certain demographics with which they can function "normally", as it gives them pleasure, so the above is no real indicator. (Though it would be worth noting, since some other mental disorders cause unusual smells or small "tweaks" that our adult filters might not pick up on as quickly). ROT (rule of thumb) if someone is charming, urbane, and exceedingly socially appropriate (regardless of their education or apparent intellect), but your BS meter is not only pegged, but snapping, be careful, you need to listen.

Socios are only able to maintain a facade for so long before their lies, half-truths and fables start unravelling, so time and observation are your best allies, along with being unafraid to interrogate very sharply. Basically you're trying to drop a pebble in the lake. If you get a big bubbling splash, it tells you the BS is thick and deep.
