Default WTH is going on with my RMR

so i went to John Chamber's closerange gunfighting class, and shot almost 400 rnds each day

end of day 1, my red dot had unzeroed it self, and the dot was all the way to the right when the sights lined up

so i went home, zerod it, and applied clear nail polish...

today i shot about 400 rnds, and i was shooting steel at 50 just fine, then lent the pistol off, and magically it was unzerod again??

any ideas, or do i gotta send this thing to trijicon?

Sounds like it needs loctite in the screws. If it already has and the screws have not moved, then you probably will have to send it back to Trijicon.

+1. If it keeps having this issue, contact trijicon for warranty repair.

Loctite the screws holding the RMR to the slide, not the zero adjustment screws. If it still gives issues it is a warranty thing for Trijicon. Again why having the BUIS as we place them is an important component of the system.

This kind of thing always sucks. Anything man made can, and will break...it just sucks ass when it's you. :( Hope you figure it out.

If it was zeroed, and you screw it down properly, you will immediately see the dot right where it is supposed to be...on the front sight. After all of this ping pong, I hope we hear back from the OP.

i got about an 1/8 turn on either screw. i had locktited them initially, but ill re=do it.

how much nail polish? i had just put a dot on there maybe not enough? Looks like i'll get to shoot again this sunday, so i'll revisit this then

Ensure that the screws that mount the RMR to the slide are tight. If even one comes loose the RMR will shift enough that it will loose zero. It may even be so small of a shift that you can't notice when trying to wiggle it while it's on the slide, but if the screws are not rock solid twisted into place, it will move the point of impact.

If one or both screws are not screwed in tight, remove the RMR. Put blue Loctite on the threads and reattach the sight to the slide.

The way the RMR is made, if something were loose or disconnected, it is more likely that the super small electronics would just turn off the dot vs. shifting the dot.

So, the way to check it, assuming it was zeroed before the problem, would be to Loctite and tighten the mounting screws, and then shoot it, right? If it's still messed up, it's a warranty issue.

Just wondering, as a fellow first-time-RMR owner.
