Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I'm in the market for an ACOG for the Sig 556R. I have a model in mind, but two questions:

    1.) Horshoe or Crosshair reticle?

    2.) Green, amber, or red?

    Thanks!!

Horseshoe in red is best in my experience.

+ 1 , I've tried amber & green too but red works better for my eyes.

Thanks. Yeah, most of the comments on other sites recommended the Green Horseshoe, but I think I'm going to go with red.

I prefer red, also. Between the horseshoe and crosshairs, I could go either way. I tend to like the simplicity of crosshairs, but I can appreciate the arguments in favor of the horseshoe.
