US PALM fulfills a lot of people's request by coming out with a quad stack mag, prices it $30 less than the Surefire quad stack AR mag, and all people do is bitch about the price.![]()

Seriously, this is the problem with AK's. I love USPalm products and think here of all places should give this a warm welcome. Let's not forget that these products are normally priced high to recoop tooling costs and generally come down with time and even if the price doesn't they are still comparable to the surefires. I have no interest in cheap gear, I will gladly pay for quality and hope USPalm keeps producing awesome products.
I am not yet convinced that the Surefire mags are da' bomb as I have read about some reliability issues. I don't know if that is true and I am not trying to start any rumors. The price does preclude me from being a beta tester. I feel the same way about the new U.S. Palm mags. At the current asking price I will sit back and let someone else do the testing.
There are personalities out there that must have the newest gizmo first and others that enjoy tinkering with things and posting about it. God bless them all. That is not me so I will wait until the mags are out for awhile before making the investment. I do like the idea of 30 rounds in a 20 round length mag. Now that would be da' bomb!

I buy according to a lot of variables. Price, quality, my needs, and my wants. Is there an overriding reason that for my selfdefense requirements that a compact 45 round magazine is a must for a semiauto weapon? At this point I am not sure. Decent optics are where I going now to get the biggest bang for my money. I will support with my business those companies that comply with what I want and unfortunately staying within my budgetary means is important. I will at some point buy not for any need, but because I want to have an example of a quad-stack mag to play with.

Not that my 2 cents really matter, But IMHO If the mags are as good as the 30rnd ones then I have no problem paying the 99$ for a good quality high cap. I of course wouldn't mind it if they where cheaper but I want good quality I am tired of the cheap US made AK crap that is out there. It is time for the AK world to step up the quality and I am happy to see that happening.

I will pick up one. If nothing else it will be fun in the NMH91 that I am getting. If that runs well I could see one sitting in my AK ready to go. I keep a 20 in there just because it's short and maneuverable, so why no get a 45 that is 20rd length?
$99 is pricey, but it isn't out there. Now if that had went $150 or $200 I'd say KMA.

Also, with an MSRP of $99..that means at some point you'll be able to find them for $80-85 more than likely. Would everyone like a $45-50 dollar mag? Sure, but USP is more than allowed to charge what people will pay. That's the nice thing about selling a product. :)
