    Default Vltor handgaurd

This appears to be a great piece of kit. For just mounting a quick detach bipod, I dont see the benefit over a free float handgaurd with a piece of rail attached. Anyone have any insight? I am looking to replace the handgaurd on my Para, and would like the capability of a QD bipod. What say you fellas, is it worth it?

I am running one on my DSA para, and ordering one after Christmas for my new fixed-stock DSA/GSR project. Far superior to all the others, IMHO.

The only free float handguards I have handled on the fals were seriously heavy. I have put a piece of picatinny at the 6 o'clock on my standard handguards.

So there is that option. The vltor is an awesome piece of kit, if you decide you need it.
    Hi!

.45/.308/12 gauge kinda guy, but .22 rimfire is where I get my enjoyment.

Gabe, do you have an eyeball guestimate of how thick the aluminum is on the CASV? From the pics I have seen, it looks to be about 1/8" or so, but I don't have one to measure.
