In some instances, a good cup of coffee is better than good whiskey, any personal favorites you brew yourself?
One of mine is Don Francisco Colombian, the French roast is second. Its normally available in chain grocery stores, so availability is a huge plus.
Any you've had that just make getting out of bed and going out in the cold more bearable?
And please, no chain coffee like starbucks (eeeegh) and the like.

No chain coffees? Why not? Starbucks Christmas coffee they come out with every holiday season is awesome. I buy two or three bags of beans and put them in the freezer.

Well, my take on it is if you can make it out in the sticks it counts. I hate buy by the cup coffee, but Ill give on the beans and brew yourself.

Starbucks is terrible coffee. The fact that you store your beans in the freezer and can't tell the difference is proof of that. As far as beans bought at a grocery store, Id have to go with the organic Peruvian beans from sprouts. The best cup I've ever had was made from Chiapas beans from a local roaster.

Favorite is REAL Jamaica Blue Mountain. Stupid expensive, but an awsome treat every once in a while. Regular coffee is not really my favorite, much prefer double or triple espresso.

Lower on price scale - Dunkin Donuts dark roast beans, ok to good.

I didn't say I can't tell the difference, but even frozen starbucks christmas is better than anything normally found in grocery stores.
Never had Kona or Jamaican, although I would like to.
Espresso is awesome.
