    Default US PALM Battle Grip

We all love the US PALM magazines, and they get well deserved kudos for their rail system and Attack Rack, but I want to give some praise to perhaps the most underappreciated part of their line: the US PALM Battle Grip.

After the first day of Close Rang Gunfighting last weekend, my fellow SI instructors Alex Nieuwland and JD Lester hung around and did a bit of shooting. JD had been admiring Alex's Arsenal SLR-107F, which still had the traditional ComBloc grip on it. Of course, I couldn't let that go unanswered, so I pulled out my own SLR-107F, which had a Ultimak mounted Aimpoint Micro. However, it wasn't the red dot sight that got JD's attention, it was the US PALM Battle Grip. As soon as he got his hand on it, he said, "Oh, that's nice." It may be a small detail, but the Battlegrip is a great improvement over the stock grip, especially anytime you're handling the rifle one-handed (for reloads, etc.). If you don't have one on your AK, you should.

I put one on my S-12 recently and I like it a lot. I still like the SAW grip, but the US Palm grip is worth the extra money.

I wasn't sure how much better it would feel over the SAW grip, but it does feel better.
My only issue was the alan wrench sent with it was the wrong size. Not a biggie as I have a large/good set of tools but for a person with limited tools it might be an issue.

Not to hijack your thread Chris, but they also have them for the AR15 guys as well. I just put them on two of my rifles and I have to say that they are a fine product. I'll be picking a couple more up.

The US Palm battle grip absolutely saved a couple of my AK's. They were just a bear to deal with because of grips that were either too small (even for my hands) or not nearly rigid enough for one hand manipulations. To me, the US Palm Battle grip is the PERFECT grip for the AK. Now all my AK's where them and I consider them a required piece of equipment for any AK's I may pick up in the future.

    Best,

US PALM grips are bar none the best AK grip you can put on the rifle. Places the hand in the proper postition, offers storage for optic batteries, and as strong as ay other part of the rifle.

Next to a red dot sight, it was the best addition to my ak's.

Yeah, the allen wrench I got was too small as well. Oh well, I just used my own.

I have smaller hands, and it was still a huge improvement over the regular grip. That little bit of extra girth to hold on to makes a lot of difference. I have no idea what I'll keep in the grip, if anything, but I guess it's a nice additional feature.
