It does if you read the reasons why most surplus AK47 mags and most surplus AK74 mags are not the same creatures.

Then again I see the word "Kvar" used all the time when referencing identical parts/magazines you can buy anywhere else but Kvar's circle 10's are somehow better than XYZ's circle 10's... Is kvar a sponsor here? I don't believe they are, so why are they mentioned all the time? Weird.

Reliable quad stacks? I'd cough up some extra coin for something like that. I'd like to have a couple 'just because'.

Kvar likes to steal from people like you Steve. They will sell you a 30 round AK-74 magazine for $32.00. What was it that Barnum said?

If the only choice was Kvar's overpriced circle tens and simple steel mags, I'd opt for steel just on principle and to not feed the price gougers. Thankfully there are the AK30s which are far better than the overpriced junk they sell.

I will say this too...if anyone is buying AK-74 magazines at Kvar, you are a fool that likes to throw money away.

I own eight AK-74's, I would buy at least 30 magazines if US Palm made them......I already have a hundred, a mixture of Romanian steel, Polish steel and bakelite........

I will meet with these guys early next week. I will let them know. I would buy a boatload myself for my mini 5.45 DMR.

    Gabe,

Let them know about the other "What do YOU want?" threads, too. Just trying to help them gauge the market for each platform.

The steel AK-47 (multiple Com Bloc sources) and AK-74 (Polish Tantal) mags that I have are about the same cost and quality, and I bought a metric ton of US Palm AK-47 mags anyway.

I haven't had any issues with the pile of Circle 10 AK-47 mags, or the Russian, Bulgarian or Polish AK-74 poly mags I have, and I still plan on buying the US Palm AK-74 mags if/when they're released.

Of course, I'm excluding the recent production US (Tapco, etc) and Bulgy AK-47 (bullet mold, and un-lined) commercial mags.

My point is that consumers will purchase them DESPITE the fact that surplus mags are available at lower cost.

20 round mags by US Palm would be godsend due to the state that I live in.

That's your point now, your original post had to do with the difference (or lack there of) in your opinion of the surplus AK47 mags vs the surplus AK74 mags. You were comparing apples to oranges.

I have no doubt some people will buy them. I just don't see a production justification (at this point) of making AK74 magazines when there are plenty of other magazines out there that will, IMO, appeal to much larger market and have a higher profit potential.

That's what US Palm is in business for after all, profit.
