    Default April Ride in Arizona

Every year, our Pinz club does a multi-day adventure somewhere in the state. This year, we are doing it in the Bradshaw Mountains. They run basically north/south between Phoenix and Prescott west of Interstate 17.

For those familiar, we will be off the Crown King trail and just about half way between Lake Pleasant and Crown King. Conditions at the camp site are primitive/improved. We have dug a latrine and set up a shower as some guys bring their families, and the women like to be able to rinse the dust off.

Dates are April 7-10, one does not need to be there the entire time.

The Crown King run is one of THE best rides in the state. There are some very difficult spots, and there are bypasses around them for those that don't want to push it.

One of the day trips will be rough, a good portion of the trail is rated 8 out of 10, and you will have to take the 8 sections, no going around, as there aren't any bypasses.

If only I had a Pinz! I'd be happy to help with fuel if anyone needs a shotgun. :)

4WD? There are places I doubt a 2WD would do it. Don't really need anything exotic, lot's of regular 4WD do the trail.

I made it once with a stock Ford Explorer with a set of All Terrains on it. Fun weekend.

Yeah, you might high center a couple of places. Otherwise, expect lot's of new "pinstriping".
