Does anyone have experience with the grab-n-stab bowie from one source?

They are two different knives....there is the grab n stab, and then the Bowie. The Grab n Stab has been around the block a few times and used to save lives. I think the TSD Bowie is too new.

O sorry I see that now. I was referring to the Bowie but after looking at the grab-n-stab it looks interesting as well. You say it has been around the block, would be interesting to hear some opinions on either knife.

There are tons of them on here. Use the search feature to find threads. It really depends on what you prefer, your method of carry, etc. both will get the job done.

...and of course what's legal to carry in your AO.

The 4th gen Endura and Delica blades appear to be much more robust than the older versions, and would seem to be well made for stabby-stabby.
This hasn't changed very much since I originally wrote this in 2009. I EDC the Blackhawk Be-Wharned and still love it, and will be getting the Spyderco Yojimbo II very soon. The AFCK is now gone, and the older one I have resides in the safe. Still a great design, but I prefer the wharnies to anything else on the market. The Ronin is not going anywhere, I will hold onto it from now on. I also have a Gerber Mark I that is a nice dagger, and a CRKT Kasper Polkowski Companion, but both reside in the safe. I believe wharnies are the way to go for an anti-personnel knife.

I'd been wanting an Emerson fixed karambit for a weapons retention kind of knife (like a curved TDI), but now I'm torn on the Grab n' Stab too. Any recommendations of one over the other?

Once again I have to throw my vote to Anza knives, sharp as a razor and tough as a hammer, and cheaper than a lot of factory knives even though they are custom made. I use the Anza Bowie (sadly discontinued) as my hunting knife. I want an Anza 'Scout'

do have them take the file teeth completely off however, they make it damn difficult to clean otherwise. The lack of a guard does disturb me though, that blade is scary sharp, as in say goodbye to your fingers if you slide up in a fight.

I do like the Hogue Knives EX-F01 design however.

Great thread! I know it's old.

    I currently carry a Rat 3 in D2.

I carried a Kershaw Ken Onion folder. I was quick with that thing.

I really like the wave CQB-7, that might be my next folder, along with the new OST Gang.

Then I really need a class on H2H, and knife very badly, I lack these skills.
