So who wants to post a top 10 list of fighting folders? I carry something that I know is not ideal (Camillus Heat Tanto) and would like to move up to something a bit more robust. Suggestions?

Also if I may add....
Always carry two knives, one small for opening boxes and such the other slightly larger for opening people.

If not.... Murphy will be there after opening a hundred boxes....

Honestly, I'm terrible w/ a benchstone but a Spyderco Tri-Angle Sharkmaker (or something similar) is monkey simple.
Anyone can keep their blade sharp w/ that.

BTW...BLACKHAWK was clearing out the "Silent Partner" and I missed it, but I picked up a new plain edge on eBay for 39.99. Over time if I break or lose it...no big deal. There are still some on there.

There is a place for high dollar knives as well as high dollar guns. For example, here in AZ, the idea that one might need to ditch a knife is unheard of as the self-defense laws are great. However, stabbing a couple of would-be muggers in Tijuana (guys that are probably off duty security or cops), might necessitate different after action stuff.

So having a nice kmife is fine, but travelling with a disposable one is better.

I think I said just that in the other thread..one carries a folder because a folder may be illegal in their area. If a fixed blade is cool, go fixed of course!
