barrel length is not an issue on pump action or side by side as long as minimum length is 26 inches?

I like this one even better - http://www.blueline-activities.com/s...ucts_id=308%22

looks like a serbu super shorty $975 bult on factory Rem 870 receiver

BL 6-1 shotgun, 6.5" barrel, 2+1 shots, comes wiht regular Remington stock attached, front grip and Hogue pistol grip on the side. Currently; regular stock=Non restricted, pistol grip=Restricted.

in other words - the full stocked gun is non restricted as it is over 26" minimum length...... the pistol gripped gun is restricted (same as handguns) as it is under 26" oal

there are no laws, as long as the gun is a total of 18" in length. hmmmm, i didnt know you could have a 12.5 incher up here.

Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies, The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Actually it has to be a total of 26.5" OAL. I have 2, one a Remington 14" with ghost-rings and synthetic stocks and the other one of the 12.5" Dominion models with bead and interchangeable chokes. I call it my "Red 870" and it works just fine. I've actually pulled all the innards out of both of them and interchanged them and they both functioned perfectly.

I have several dozen handguns but they are impossible to carry legally. One or the other of these is always under the back seat of my Avalanche in a skateboard bag - problem solved...

mudgunner - this is for me largely for "academic reasons only"
but I'm wondering - does the "under 18 inch barrel" have to be factory only?

Pretty sure I read somewhere that in Canada you cant modify (saw) a longer barrel to shorter than 18 inches,

but Im wondering if you could order a factory short (12.5 or 14") barrel and for example - swap it for a 24" barrel that might currently be on your gun?

can you swap back annd forth between the short barrel and long barrel whenever you feel like it?

    Thanks

    ROTFLMAO!

    Great post.

    Coolhand77's was great also. :D

See............shut the border down south, and all those nasty short barrelled shotguns will invade you from the north.

Better to have all your assault rifles running down to Mexico IMHO! :D ;)

We use to have some old films (I'm talking reel to reel stuff, not vcr stuff) from DOE on building clearing and such. THe team point man was a older fellow (white headed as Santa Claus) who carried a sawed off shotgun. It looked like a Browning Auto, had the stock cut down to only the pistol grip and the barrel cut back to the front stock. I have always wondered what it was like to shoot that thing, and what it would do to someone at room distances.
