    Sounds like torn Achilles tendon that’s pulled up into the calf. Be sure to get that looked at by a good Ortho guy. Shay Womack is a solid dude.

    Turns out it is actually a torn Plantaris and possibly some minor tearing of the Gastrocnemius. The ACL and Achilles were not affected.

    That’s hard to do. Congrats. As your recent trophies confirm, you’re an over achiever.

    Most of us past our mid 30’s have pretty brittle Achilles tendons. Be sure to keep it stretched out and that you’re hydrated. Especially when competing.
