My favorite watch.

Got nailed to my wrist with a Taser probe in a melee over a piano.

Lol awesome. Casio Ironman was my favorite working man's watch in the 90s then they came out with the Hummer version. That one disappeared off my body at some point.

Air King for nice, Seamaster for most days, and a G-Shock when I am running my business and have to do repairs and get dirty (and it shows).

I like simple, small, tough, analog watches.

Seiko SKX007 that is about 10 years old, swapped out the jinky/jingly bracelet for a Strapcode Oyster. Everyday
Casio G9000s Mudman Gshock
Hamilton Elvis80 Venura Automatic. Huge watch but it always heads to Vegas wish us and fancy outings
Omega Seamaster Bond 41mm 2220.80 automatic. Had the quartz mid-size but was able to flip and pick up this 41mm that is awesome. the other Vegas watch

had the Casio Gravitymaster and a Sunnto Core, but those went to the girlfriend's oldest son, since he's a gadget kind of kid
Had the Hamilton "Murph" and a Glycine Goldeneye, but flipped both for a profit when some firearms I wanted more came available

The Omega De Ville my Grandfather's gold watch from Allison in '66. I need to find a good Omega guy to restore it.

I got the Bulova back in the 90s. Good watch.

Bought a new watch and have been wearing it a couple days. Got a cheaper version just to see if I could tolerate it. It's been nice, wearing it daily other than at home and at cardiac rehab. Haven't worn one in probably 20 years on a regular basis. So far so good.

I have a son that's about to turn 16 next month. He's into watches a little, and has been collecting a few low cost watches (like off of Amazon and such, under $30-$50 at this point) as he kind of figures out what he likes. I never have been a watch guy, but I'm thinking about getting him one. May get myself one as well, just wondering what you fellas think about these? Shoot me straight fellas, I want to get the kid a genuine upgrade from what he's been buying, but I'm not buying him a graduation gift here. Although I can appreciate the young man's interest in finer things. I'm also looking at Luminox.

Of those four, I'd vote for the orange one. I wore an Orange Monster similar to that one for several years. Still one of my favorites. Google "Seiko Orange Monster" and you'll get several options.

That Seiko is not an “investment “ watch, but it is a great automatic movement that will last a LONG time. It’s not cheap, it’s also not expensive. It’s just right, so to speak. You might also spawn an interest in “modding” watches. Seiko moments are very customizable, should that turn out to be the “next hobby.”

Thank you for that. That's kind of what I was looking for. I'm thinking let's enter into the quality watch space with good quality, and go up from there if his/our interest grows. I went with a Citizen watch today from the local jeweler. I got matching ones, Citizen ProMaster Diver, 200m 81tsBpWruuL._AC_UL320_.jpg

I liked the orange one as well, and we'll look at the Seiko's next if he's enthusiastic still.
