Yeah, I get sick of some people. Believing the shat pumped out by the Effluent Stream Media. Plus the crazy crap some of the hand wringing sky pilots come up with.

There is a difference between running around with your hair on fire and accepting the reality of a situation. We are in a weird lag period where some people don't recognize what is going on yet. The dow is down almost 7000 from the beginning of the year, inflation keeps hitting new highs month after month, energy prices are needlessly high, commies are trying to ban all sorts of things from cars to heaters, food prices are through the roof due to many different things and so on. Even the other day the Fed chairman said they will keep raising rates for the next couple years because they want to crash housing prices, put people out of work and slow the economy to try and tame the inflation that the government caused with out of control spending. People are more divided than ever and open fighting in a civil war is a very real possibility. Not to mention keeping tabs on larger world events. Its not hand wringing to recognize what is going on.

The defining point is how one reacts to it. One can shut down mentally and wail about the end or one can see what is going on and and make moves, preparations, plans and figure out the best course of action to come out on the other side in the best position they can.

I can't rep Dorkface, so I'll quote him.

If the world were easy, we wouldn't need warriors.

Know what the other side is doing and out maneuver them. There are various ways to say "No".

As tiresome as it probably is, I did enjoy seeing these thoughts reiterated. And this isnít what the thread is about but I no longer visit gun forums or consume gun related content in general. Just boredom and/or contempt for what I see in those places.

We arent "gun people". In truth...I get along as poorly with the typical "gun owner" as I do with christian talibans.

Nope...we are quite different from that norm. As outside the box as it gets...clever...cruel...and as machiavellian as possible. Push us and the horror you will uncover would make Geronimo vomit.

2 things are clear over the past 2 years:

-- The mark of a dying society is the breakdown of control and the inclination of the politicians to seek more control by passing more laws.

-- The last "police" to be defunded will be the ones that enforce tax laws.

What can I do besides vote and encourage others to? Not much I suppose; so I work out a bit more, dry practice every day, enjoy the occasional cocktail and cigar, and drive my muscle car fast every chance I get; because despite the laws they pass, I will still out here doing what the fuck I want.

And if it really all does go to shit, keeping my eye out for the opportunities to be a territorial warlord...
