Yeah, I get sick of some people. Believing the shat pumped out by the Effluent Stream Media. Plus the crazy crap some of the hand wringing sky pilots come up with.

There is a difference between running around with your hair on fire and accepting the reality of a situation. We are in a weird lag period where some people don't recognize what is going on yet. The dow is down almost 7000 from the beginning of the year, inflation keeps hitting new highs month after month, energy prices are needlessly high, commies are trying to ban all sorts of things from cars to heaters, food prices are through the roof due to many different things and so on. Even the other day the Fed chairman said they will keep raising rates for the next couple years because they want to crash housing prices, put people out of work and slow the economy to try and tame the inflation that the government caused with out of control spending. People are more divided than ever and open fighting in a civil war is a very real possibility. Not to mention keeping tabs on larger world events. Its not hand wringing to recognize what is going on.

The defining point is how one reacts to it. One can shut down mentally and wail about the end or one can see what is going on and and make moves, preparations, plans and figure out the best course of action to come out on the other side in the best position they can.

I can't rep Dorkface, so I'll quote him.

If the world were easy, we wouldn't need warriors.

Know what the other side is doing and out maneuver them. There are various ways to say "No".
