About a decade or so ago I had a similar thing happen to me in a grocery store. Woman said she was going to take my baby! (Not the usual woman admiring a baby, but something creepy!)

I smiled at her and told her she’d never live to reach the end of the aisle! She looked at me pretty shocked and I looked at her like I’d already decide how I was going to kill her.

She decided she was needed elsewhere and left in a hurry!

Whatever else may or may not be true about the two who made weird, creepy comments about my nephew, your statement would have been true. I told my mom that evening, "If that guy would have tried to get closer to him [the baby] or you, I would have literally kicked his tail to the bottom of that ramp."
