    Default Nylon Belt

My Beltman leather belt is wearing significantly where the tail enters the buckle, due to torque from carrying appendix with that belt nearly every day for two years. Thinking of breaking into nylon, in hopes that it will last a bit longer.

What are the recommendations? I know the Aegis blets get good press here, as well as the Nextbelt and Kore ratchet options (not sure how I feel about that system, honestly). I'm keeping my 1.25" leather dress belt for dress occasions, and using the NPE holster or entirely holsterless significantly reduces the torque and load on the belt itself, so I expect that one to last a while. Specifically looking for street/casual wear belt. I bought a GrooveLife belt this evening that I've been wearing around, and while I like the flex when bending over, etc., I'm having a hard time getting used to the idea of something that relatively flexible.

Considering the Mastermind Tactical Specialist Gabe's been rocking; I like a lot about that but am not sure what I think about the Velcro setup. I do like the magnetic "buckle" for the GL belt, insomuch as it's fast and convenient; lockup seems strong, although I do wonder how it would do if I got knocked about.

Things I'm not thinking about? I'm really, really hoping to be able to make the DA/SA class later this year and possibly the Feb. 2023 Tucson class as well. I'd love something to roll in while there and give a good whirl.

I may also buy the Mastermind one to compare with the GL one and return whichever one I don't like.

I've been using the low profile Blue Alpha Gear belt for years and love it.

Wilderness Tactical has worked great for me with both their regular and frequent flyer belt. However, the ultra light model I didn’t find as good as the others but to be expected I guess.

    +1 for Blue Alpha Gear.

Half the time I'm wearing the Blue Alpha hybrid cobra belt, the other half I'm wearing a 1.75 HSGI cobra belt. I find the 1.75 is slightly more comfortable but the Blue Alpha more convenient and lower profile.

I have experience With The Mastermind Tactics Pro, EDC Foundation belt, and Blue Alpha Gear Hybrid EDC. If you need a belt buckle, the blue alpha Will be best. The mastermind Pro checks all the boxes But the foundation belt Goes just a little bit beyond and is stiff where it needs to be yet flexible where it doesn't need to be stiff, unlike the other two that are one continual stiffness.

Very interested in the EDC Foundation belt. Does the extra stiffness at the appendix carry area do well to keep the pistol stable, while the more flexible back allows for greater movement? That's what it seemed, based on the description.

I like the front flexibility of the GL belt, esp after tightening it a bit to better hold the pistol, but I'm afraid it would shift more easily. Not so good.

I have multiple belts from Mastermind Tactics. They are my go to belt. I like the very small buckle they used in the past since it will pass through a belt loop. You can still order a belt and get the small buckle if you ask.

I often wear the Blue Alpha inner belt which is essentially the same as their low profile except it has the fuzzy side of velcro on the outside. I like it... good and stiff but not too stiff, durable, and it mates up to my outer belt or "War Belt" if you prefer. Fuzzy velcro doesn't attract debris or cause bunching so I'd say it is a good dual purpose carry belt, I've had belt systems with the prickly on the inner and in that case I couldn't use the inner as a daily use belt. Different topic... but if I were to do it again again I would go with fuzzy on the outer belt instead because wearing the outer belt by itself with just a t-shirt can get prickly but most of you probably already know that...
