Just got finished listening while ironing some clothes. That was great; good reminders of the fundamentals regarding mindset, fitness, etc. A theme I noticed is that one's mentality undergirds every aspect of becoming the "Renaissance man" (excuse me, "Renaissance 'person'") that, by and large, we on here strive to become, from desiring to become and remaining fit to actually being willing to take the shot on the active shooter. It's not enough to be strong and fast, if some creep grabs my wife's butt—I must be willing to kick his butt. And likewise, one who is fit and armed must be willing, before ever getting out of bed, to shoot the bad guy wherever he is found, without a moment's fear-born hesitation. A tactical pause is appropriate; a fearful hesitation is not.

    Excellent.

You can't just decide to pretend...you must LIVE the story. I recall the monologue in Kill Bill where Carradine is telling Uma Thurman (roll tongue back into mouth) about his favorite super hero...Superman. He compared Superman to Spiderman. Spiderman was actually pretending to be someone else...but was in fact, Peter Parker. Parker donned the personna of Spiderman to do other things. Superman, in contrast, really was Superman. It is who he was in fact, and he only disguised himself as Clark Kent to move through common society like Mao's fish. The point being is this...BE THE RENAISSANCE WARRIOR...the Gentleman Killer...the barely refined savage whose primal and brutal nature is in fact his nature that he keeps lightly covered when swimming through the populace.

    Your journey begins now.
