Default How To Fire A Stinger Missile

Given the way the world is going and seeing that a lot of military aid going to Ukraine included a bunch of Stingers and Javelins I wondered how they worked. Figured they couldn't be super complicated to use and as luck would have it there's a youtube video lol. I wonder what else would be good to have an idea about.

AT-4s are pretty easy to shoot. Iron sighted, actually real sensible once you know how. The time in order to take it from slung to fire is 15 seconds to qualify.

Javelins and Stingers come with instructions.

Each generation of MANDPAD and ATGM has gotten easier to use. The early generations took a fair amount of training to be used effectively.

There were a number of unsuccessful attempts at shooting down civilian aircraft (especially in Africa), because of the lack of training on the part of the terrorist.

stingers are pretty cool. first unit i deployed with was a stinger battery that got deactivated upon return. supposedly, we have the only aircraft that can outrun one and due to their imaging capture system, they aren't supposed to be affected by flares

People have asked me if I consider myself a good or bad person. The truth of it is, I don't know or care. I have been called both. I like to think I have saved more lives than I have ended. Either way, I can still sleep at night.

Yep, I'd sign up for the SI class.

Nice! Out of curiosity can they be used in a direct fire mode for a truck or something?
