Shooter wore armor. Retired cop doing security detail at the store (telling as to the nature of the area) engages shooter, but with armor, he keeps at it. Retired cop dies.

Another example of the importance of head shots in the era of accessible and effective armor.

And streaming the event on Twitch? Livestreaming WTF? And WTF is a Twitch?

Read the article. Couple of other things to note: The shooter wasn't from the area; he was white, a point the author got out seemingly as quickly as possible very near the beginning of the article; he plainly wasn't all that phased by getting shot, given that after his armor took the rounds, he killed the guard and moved on; it seems the area in general was probably considered a soft target, since only a retired officer engaged and the shooter managed to kill 10 people total; and perhaps most significantly, the shooter, upon being accosted by the police, put his own gun to his neck—to me, that suggests he knew that if he at least acted as though he would kill himself, the officers would try to talk him down, instead of giving him what he deserves.

I do find it funny that the article author stated as though it were fact that open-carry lowers the bar to carrying generally. That sort of assertion doesn't even make sense. But what's funnier is the follow-up that violence has increased generally everywhere, regardless of the leadership.

Given the race of the shooter, insistence that his motive was racial, he had armor, and he was not from the area, I wager this was a planned shenanigan. The main question is which of the alphabet commie orgs put it together (or which of them collaborating).

What I don't understand about this, just as I wonder about people working in the cartels, and really about a whole host of stuff, is why these young people are so willing to throw their lives away for nothing. OK, you shoot up a store because it has black customers. Apart from the few people you kill, what's the point?? Is that worth a needle or the next 70 years in a cell? Or for our cartel friends, you traffic drugs or kill competitors in order to enrich someone else, and you're OK doing this with the same risk profile of death or imprisonment? Why? Did you not have anything better to do with your time, anything better to live for?

The shooter (18 year old kid) wrote a 180 page manifesto detailing everything he was planning. Some takeaways, the weapons he used old school AR with iron sights and carry handle, legally bought in NY with pinned 10 round mag that he converted back to detachable. Mossberg shotgun, savage axis xp bolt action rifle. All budget priced guns but not much is needed to shoot unarmed civilians. I don’t like the language used in his manifesto for the weapons he chose. He talked about choosing the AR because it is the ultimate weapon of war, was easily converted back to detachable mags, etc. Was also wearing body armor which NY would like to ban. Seems he checked all the boxes for giving the liberals reason to ban guns.

This guy lived several hours away but seemed to have cased the store a few times. He had a map with locations of store security and planned to shoot the security guard through the glass before entering the store. Local news is reporting half the dead were head shots, so he did better than the average mass shooter we see. Also, keep in mind that he was wearing a Kevlar helmet in addition to body armor. So would likely take a good face shot, not just head shot to take him down (or armpit shot where there is no body armor coverage).

What the hell kind of document is that? Wonder which agencies helped him write it? Where were his parents? Siblings? Friends? He didn't just dream this up yesterday. And most people aren't good enough to keep ideas to themselves, so odds are he told, or at least hinted about, his plans.

I just spent this last Thursday at a class on Behavioral Analysis, specific to countering the Active Shooter. It was put on by the NCRIC/JTTF, where I spent a year during my last Job as a DA Inspector for the “Sh!tty (and County) by the Bay.”

AND I got a day’s pay for attending, thanks to the Private Security/EP company I teach for that I set up the NCRIC/JTTF partnership with in the first place.

Capitalist Swine that I am. (I actually prefer “Cinghiale Capitalista.” Much tastier, especially in a nice Bolognese over fresh tagliatelle.)


But I digress. (I don’t eat a lot of tagliatelle anymore. Too many carbs.)


One of the things the instructor, (a former AUSA/terrorism specialist-prosecutor for the Central District of CA which includes Los Angeles and now at the San Bernardino DA’s Office), spent a lot of time talking about was how much these murderers relate to, deeply worship and legitimately study previous mass-murderers.

He presented a lot on how almost all of their “journals and manifestos” referenced their personal heroes in previous mass murderers; how one dressed exactly like what Klebold was wearing when he died at Columbine for a YEAR before he shot up his school. How several others timed their attacks to be on the anniversary of Columbine, or the one on Utoya Island in Norway, or the one in ChristChurch New Zealand, who also live-streamed and recorded via GoPro the entire event. (Seen that one start to finish.)

There is a definite psychological pathology to these mass murderers, and an identifiable series of events and calculable moments/incidents in their lives that lead to their actually COMMISSION of their act.


But I do wonder, what/who is actually ALLOWING them to be driven down that path?

And WHY?

For all the leakage these killers spill onto social media, for all the research they openly do on the Internet…

Why hasn’t big goob-mint’s totality of data mining caught them?

For all the anger and calls to regulate “social media” as the greatest enabler of crime in the all of human history, what have the Powers that Be done to actually regulate it? Other than making Z#ck$rb&rg sit in front of congress while they yell at him. (But in reality was just part of the “try to look penitent and give us a back door to all your data and that will be the end of our inquiry” deal.)


It’s certainly seems to be a perfect example of the Hegelian Dialectic.

And even WITH our new iPhones and smart refrigerators and straight-up Orwellian Alexa’s…

Almost NO ONE bothers to use that access to all of Humanity’s collected knowledge to even know what a Hegelian Dialectic is.

At this very moment I’m sure George Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Philip K. Dick and William Gibson are all just sitting around a perfect campfire wherever they may be in the Great Beyond, looking down on us sipping their libations of choice, and JUST laughing their asses off.
