I have it on good authority that DPS did get the call, but that FBI Team Leader wanted a "deployment" and assumed command, which essentially made it their scene. My guess is that it was some local FBI who are trained as an HRT, not the actual HRT, given how quickly they got on the scene.

My authority told me that essentially it became a "roll over, look at phone, wake up and sit up, find out you have been stood down, go back to bed" kind of call for them.

I also chuckle at the news feeders trying to wordsmith their way around ignoring the fact the a Muslim terrorist targeted a Jewish synagogue…. Nothing to see there either…
