Default Thoughts on my "Christian Duty"

    From a friend.

I know we don't always agree on political, social or religious ideology and thinking.

But understand one thing, I'm getting very tired of being lectured and berated by some to do my "Christian duty" to the refugees and illegal aliens.

I'm told I have a "moral obligation" as a Christian to welcome the refugees here.

I find it quite humorous that now we are allowed to talk about God, what Jesus would do and how I'm supposed to act as a Christian when these very same people have so violently decried against anything Christian related in the past.

You want me to do my Christian duty, but you want me to keep my religion out of schools.

You want me to act accordingly as a Christian, but you condemn any public displays of Christianity.

You say the government has a moral obligation to accept refugees since we are a Christian nation, but you have vehemently clamored for separation of church and state, albeit erroneously.

I'm told I am a fake Christian now, when you have demanded I keep my faith to myself so I do not offend anyone.

You say Christian Americans do not view refugee children as a life worth saving and yet you ignore the lives that continue to let be killed by not only Planned Parenthood, but also ignore the Yazidis and Assyrians that continue to be killed.

The only time you and your kind want to talk about Christians and their duties is when you can milk it for political gains and when you try to guilt us into doing something.

Other than that, I'm told to keep my "mythical relationship with an imaginary being " to myself.

It's absolutely ironic that those who have clamored so violently for Christians to shut up and take a back seat, now want to use Christianity for their own nefarious purposes.

I'm told I have a "moral obligation" as a Christian to welcome the refugees here.

The American Social Christian Church...the one that wants to be nicer than God and that has socialist leanings will do that. I want nothing to do with those people and likely would not lift a finger to help any of them...specially not the pastors as they are a large part of the problem infesting this country and its once truly "Christian" culture. Perhaps they need to review how the Israelites at God's commands handled invaders.

I find it quite humorous that now we are allowed to talk about God, what Jesus would do and how I'm supposed to act as a Christian when these very same people have so violently decried against anything Christian related in the past.

Jesus was a bad ass not a hippy pussy like these Modern Socialist Christians are...and think He is. Moreover...if they are truly "believers" and not feel-good-socialists, they will recall reading the Christ, The Father, and The Spirit are one and the same...and they should review some of The Father's work on bad people.

You want me to do my Christian duty, but you want me to keep my religion out of schools.

I really don't give a shit what THEY want. I am going to do what I want to do and not being a part of the collective has been such a liberating choice i recommend it to everyone. The "collective" also refers to any church that has socialist tendencies...no matter what it is or how long your family has been a part of it. Make up your own mind...do not allow the opinions of others to make it up for you.

You want me to act accordingly as a Christian, but you condemn any public displays of Christianity.

Hahahahaha...an early Christian Knight would have taken out their entire culture by know, burned down their homes and taken their gold. Define your own faith people
    .

You say the government has a moral obligation to accept refugees since we are a Christian nation, but you have vehemently clamored for separation of church and state, albeit erroneously.

See above. We may have been a Christian nation in the beginning...but now due to the dilution of whatever "Christian" may mean, we are a nation at the point of choice between freedom and communism. And if being a so called "American Christian" means wanting communism, then call me anything but a christian.

I'm told I am a fake Christian now, when you have demanded I keep my faith to myself so I do not offend anyone.

Ok...so I am a fake Christian...My field of fucks is barren...I have no more to give.

You say Christian Americans do not view refugee children as a life worth saving and yet you ignore the lives that continue to let be killed by not only Planned Parenthood, but also ignore the Yazidis and Assyrians that continue to be killed.

    See above

The only time you and your kind want to talk about Christians and their duties is when you can milk it for political gains and when you try to guilt us into doing something.

Exactly...including church leaders. So why are some of you still members of THOSE Churches?? Tradition?

Other than that, I'm told to keep my "mythical relationship with an imaginary being " to myself.

It's absolutely ironic that those who have clamored so violently for Christians to shut up and take a back seat, now want to use Christianity for their own nefarious purposes.

Gents...and the few ladies that may be here. Stop allowing others to control your thinking or your emotions...and stop allowing them to define who you are. Make up your mind about those things for yourself. And if that means stripping your life of those timid souls and groups that bring nothing but drama...do it...you will be glad you did.

Christianity is not about helping the poor, social justice, or peace on earth. It is about Christ and knowing Him and trusting Him for salvation.

The poor will always be with us. When Jesus was on earth, he didn’t heal all the sick or feed everyone, even though he could have done so. There is a lesson here for us.

The "what would Jesus do" crowd goes silent and get deer in the headlight eyes when you tell them HE used a whip on folks and kick over tables when they do not do what they should. Read the last chapter and see what he has planned for when he returns!!

Humanitarian work and ministry are not always the same thing.
Feeding the poor without a message of salvation is Humanitarian aid...

The church is weak, they want to take the easy road and send money rather than actually fulfilling the great commission.

If your Pastor pulls a commission and shows up to church in a BMW or an Audi, that's called a clue.

I dont trust any preacher who lines his wallet with my tithes or donations. I clean my church building every Saturday a gratis. 07-sometimes until 11. I buy my own cleaning supplies.

If you tax the tithes, youre a liar and a charlatan in my book.

I understand what you're saying but pastors were never commanded to be poor. Many earn money outside of their church roles and have a habit of making good investments. Which is biblical, see the parable of the talents.
I'm more concerned with a pastor who lives paycheck to paycheck than one who drives a BMW.

Forgive my lack of clarity. I have no problem with a Pastor having a lot of money. I agree, would rather a wealthy one who makes an honest living and does well for himself.

Im talking about those who make money off of their ministry. Who, by one way or another, make sure at least some of those tithes and offering make their way into their own pocket.

A worker is worthy of his wages. In Scottsdale, the pastor would indeed drive up in a BMW...but maybe not in Guadalupe. All relative. At one point, back before Obama's election, I was going to be a pastor...some may recall those heady days. I turned away from it for two reasons...There are way too many people that I abjectly despise and would rather throat-punch them than pray for or with them...and I like material things.

A huge part of the modern social american church has largely adopted liberalism and I will never abide in that. Another part has eschewed the trappings of success...and that "don't hang with me" either.

    Just saying

If that makes me bad...I accept my badness.
