Well look at that. A 9mm that might have actual utility. Sexy.

I tried the Uzi magazine L-clip. I love the clip with the Uzi, it’s balanced, fast, and easy to use.

It works ok with the AR but not as well. With the mag well in front of the grip it really brings the balance too far forward. And of course flipping to the second mag brings it in conflict with the grip, so the clip position needs to be adjusted a bit. Even with the small grip that I installed on this gun, it is a cramped fit. But I had to try it.

    Both mags full:

After the first mag runs dry. I can still get an ok grip, but someone with extra large hands would have a problem.

Maybe a "forward spare magazine carrier" that is vertically oriented beneath the hand guard but most definitely not a grip?

Sounds good in theory but this is already a relatively muzzle heavy gun. It doesn’t look like it, and of course it’s not an overall heavy gun, but balance wise it’s heavier towards the muzzle end. A definitely not forward grip mag holder would really accentuate that.

Really the best thing with this gun is to carry the spare on the body, or as Gabe stated a side by side.

The hand stop on this thing makes a standard grip PERFECT. I have been switching between standard and mag grip as circumstances call for and I really like how this little gun handles.

I like a forward grip on the Uzi but I think I’d hate it on this thing.

To each his own of course.

Awe crap, now I need to find another Law Tactical folder for my 9mm AR.
Bought one of the ATI AR9 pistols a couple years back. Added a trs-25 Red Dot, has been perfectly reliable with the Glock magazines and the KCI ones ( after changing the followers to Glock ). Only thing I don't like is the BCG doesn't lock back on the last round.

A hand stop is an important addition to these machines.

It seems to me that the forward weight is due to both the steel mags and the volume of 9mm ammo. I have mine with me on a road trip this weekend inside a day pack, which is more compact than I can do with an 10.5" Commando. With the AR an 3 spare mags is more weight than those same number of AR magss.
