    Default Evil is Timeless

Read Psalms 94, finding it applicable to todays situations and the evil that surrounds us.

Indeed. I’d add Psalm 109 as well.
    Psalm 139:21,22
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies.

The truth is hatred to those who hate truth.

    Ok....and?

Sorry to sound irreverent but reading that your house is on fire is interesting...but does nothing for the situation at hand.

Hey, evil is timeless right? I have a devotion. How about this mediation:

"That day Joshua took Makkedah. He put the city and its king to the sword and totally destroyed everyone in it. He left no survivors. And he did to the king of Makkedah as he had done to the king of Jericho."
I was born for a storm, and a calm does not suit me. - Andrew Jackson

Good devotion. Now I’ve done my daily meditation.
Now read 109 verses 8 and 9. Not that we’re suggesting anything of course.

“Let his days be few; And let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.”

Best bible study I've been to in a while. A commentary I read elaborated on that verse you mentioned. The Hebrew infers that those who seditiously planned and put him in office with evil intent should all perish by the gates of the city. How strange. I guess evil is truly timeless, at least for a while.

I pray daily for God to expose the evil and to crush it in His mighty hand. Please join me in this. I’m more than willing to help out in the crushing part, but He is much better, even perfect in that department. The evil done today is covered in human blood. The evil I do is covered by the blood of Jesus. There is an eternity of difference between the two.
