    Default Moving to Prescott

So fours years ago the wife and I were offered jobs in Prescott but for various reasons took jobs in NM instead. Always kind of regretted the choice, we loved the town when we visited for the interview and I was reminded of how much we liked it when I attended KWTL last year. Well last week the jobs came back open and we jumped on it and will get there late August. Our current county is much more conservative than the rest of NM but it will be great to live in the kind of community that made ANTIFA stick their tale between their legs and leave town.

Moved here last fall from Colorado and couldn't be happier.

Best advice I can give is get a good Realtor and be willing to pay more than asking. Lots of conservatives from CA selling their homes and moving here. I've heard some offering 10-30k over asking.

Looking forward to seeing you around town. Wife and I sat across from you at KWTL...the "whippersnappers" as Gabe called us... feel free to PM if you have any other questions.

Cool, I remember you guys. We will be visiting in a couple weeks, I’ll pm as we get closer. Housing does look like a challenge and we will rent or stay in our 5th wheel while we wait for our farm to sell and figure out what part of down works best for us.

Will be happy to give you intell on the place. The one thing I will say is that due to refugees from Commie Corona States, real estate is insane. I put off buying a third place (down south) because inventory is very difficult to find.

    Congrats!

Moving out is a good thing. We can't wait till our place is done and we can ride the bikes South for the last trip out.

Sounds like WT is building quite the community in the area.

    . Thanks

it does look pretty crazy but hopefully we will find the right place eventually. We aren’t planning to ever move again so we will be picky.

I will say this. No place on earth will be perfect. I have been all over the world...except Asia and the middle east...maybe one day I will visit Asia...but I digress. Other than somebody buying me a Robin Masters Estate on Maui, I would not live anywhere other than AZ. I have two homes here and likely will buy a winter home in North Scottsdale to E&E to when it gets cold (if you lived the sort of life I have lived...cold weather and broken bones don't mix well).

Don't believe the Blue State Bullshit. When outsiders come here, they come here to ESCAPE, not to duplicate. I have yet to meet a California Liberal, while I have met many California refugees from Communism. You can live as remotely, or as urban as you please. The police do not hunt the citizens...like in CA. You can carry with or without a permit. You can keep a rifle in your car. It is a 2A sanctuary where everyone respects everyone.

Within a 2 hour drive in any direction you can be on a lake stand up paddling, skiing, Jeeping, or riding your Harley to a five star Maestros Restaurant, or in the pines, or in the desert, exploring an uncharted ruin, or shopping for a new Rolex in Scottsdale, or shooting machine guns.

Low taxes, low gov intrusion, and even the thugs respect you because every swinging johnson is armed.

Let me know when you get in brother, the XO and I will take you and yours out to dinner. Its a different America out this way.

So the movers were here the last two days the guy that did all the truck packing was a quiet Jamaican looking dude that was from New York but lived in ft lauderdale for the last 19 years. As he was closing all the doors and hatches at the end of the packing he turns to me and says “Prescott huh, that’s where the make all those guns”. I said you mean Suarez International and he replied “That’s it, they make some crazy shit”. Apparently word is out.

We will finally be moved there this Saturday.
