Nothing new but shows a few convincing examples of guns painted like Nerf toys. Useful to file away as reference.

Mark this thread. I will bookmark it in the Mind Dojo section. If you blast a homie with a water soaker...you have your justification here.

    Indeed.

And while I wouldn’t paint my EDC like this, I can see the value of doing so. Imagine dispatching an active shooter; buying even a second of doubt from responding officers would be a good thing.

I can imagine doing such a thing for particular applications.

I got a briefing about 10 years ago of guns being painted all blue to look like inert plastic trainers, but this is the first I've heard of guns altered to look like toys.

    That's alarming.

It's been going on pretty much since cerakote hit the market, painting them to either look like toys or like they're from video games

People have asked me if I consider myself a good or bad person. The truth of it is, I don't know or care. I have been called both. I like to think I have saved more lives than I have ended. Either way, I can still sleep at night.

I was made aware of this in an information briefing around 2012.
(There was a folder with a collection of examples.)

Thanks for bringing the topic up again. With a quick search I found this
