It is a good point in that you are thinking of a practical application. to most of us we are thinking plinking and range toy. 5.7 is too expensive for a range toy, hence the reference to .22 mag that really is not cheap either, but still a lot less. For niche weapons, one should be willing to pay whatever it takes to get the deed done.
