Yea, I use the 168 Gr. I stumbled upon the ability to use
the factory muzzle brake as a barrel tuner, much like a
Browning Boss system. I have been able to tune a couple
of AR's, but without the fine control, with A1's and crush
    washers. I have a 20" HBAR that had bad groups & I
ended up with a 3 prong on it, because it's threaded
in 1/2"-36, and the 3 prong was the only "symmetrical"
brake I could find with the finer pitch. The crush washers
allow you to give it a bit more twist, which can make
just enough difference in the harmonics.

    I haven't grouped that AR, but I can hit 11" x 17" steel
plates with boring regularity at 600 yards with 55 & 62
    Gr.

I doubt that AR would do 1000, but I would like to try.
    I know my G3 would.

I always liked the G3.

I will do an at in 308 eventually. I am looking at everything, receivers, barrels, what is compatible with everything. I think I have come up with a mental list of what needs to happen to group at 1000 fairly easy. It’s not one my priority list right now, but definetly next in line.....

One soon to do item on my list is to mitigate the recoil to allow faster follow up shots.
I see that that there more than one buffer for the gun. There is an after market buffer based on the G3 model intended for full auto fire. There is also a different locking piece that I will stay away since I do not want to mess that feature. But a longer stroke to the recoil buffer seems like a safe item to install.
Below are the stock buffer and locking piece

Talk to Mark Graham, these things are his bread and butter. He can upgrade triggers, he also knows what to do to lighten the recoil. He’s the shit.... mine arnt bad at all, he went through them when he cut down the barrels and welded my mounts.

Tall weavers for demo, they worked with a welded rail. Barely enough room, but it works without hitting the rear site. Eye relief is just fine believe it or not. I will let others know about accuracy as soon as I can take them out and do some precision work. They actually group with irons pretty well, I just want to see what they can really do with match ammo...

I believe that butt stock is based on a west german conversion of the G3 to sniper rifle. It seems to be out of stock and I could not find a price on it and I do want one. Made by magpul.
