    Following on the KISS from Papa, seeing the exponential issues of model-specific products, and two cups of Guatemalan dark roast, one might see the need for an 80/20 solution:

    * cover 80% of the slides/rails with a common footprint
    * width adapter(s) for the 20%

    In writing this, I realized (cup 2) Iím making the case for the narrow slide optic being the 80% solution without knowing the ratio of wide to narrow slides. The width adapter would be for edge integration on wider slides. This might be accomplished using a thin plate with beveled/rounded edge rails to integrate with the slide cut edges.

    Yep, you would be giving up some viewing space.

    Maybe Iíll skip cup 3.

    Chambers Custom Pistols has the best going right now. Yes, the irons are in the front, but you can zero them and the plate sits very low in the slide.
