I'm a bit confused how everything I said about 2020 is actually about 2016, but hey, maybe there's something I'm missing.

I seem to remember a past conversation where I said Republicans were going to lose big in 2018 and Gabe said the opposite. Have we forgotten how that went?

Don't worry, I'm not going to continue this. I've tried very hard to stay out of politics here and this was my one brief indulgence before I resume my abstinence. I've said what I wanted to say--if you guys can't handle the cognitive dissonance, that's your problem not mine. I choose to live in reality, not my own fantasy version. You have the right to choose differently.

I hope I don't have a big "see I told you so!" moment about a year from now... but I'll leave you guys alone until then and we'll just wait and see what happens.

Personally, I'm doing all my buying before the rush starts. I still have a big box of various magazines from SI sitting in my closet unopened from 2016 (thanks to 108,573 votes out of 129,000,000). I hope I have the same thing happen again this time, but I have my doubts.

If you think 2020 is looking good for Trump, you're either delusional or completely uninformed. That's not my opinion, that's just obvious reality.[/QUOTE]Reality, like Hillary had no chance of losing in 2016? I’ll take my “completely uninformed delusion” for $1000 Alex.

Vindman Lieutenant Colonel is up again. He has a purple heart and combat badge and the news describes him as a decorated combat veteran.

    Commissioned in 1999 as an
    infantry officer
    , Vindman received a
    Purple Heart
medal for wounds he received from an
    IED attack
    in the
    Iraq War
    in 2004.
    [2][3]
    Vindman became a
    foreign area officer
    specializing in
    Eurasia
in 2008, and assumed his current position as Director for European Affairs with the NSC in 2018.
So about 20 years and he is at less than a full bird colonel. This could be an excellent way for him to advance forward in rank or to well paying position in a think tank or something similar in career advancement.
