Yep, you got me there. Movie trivia was never my strong suit.

Didn't the Morlocks feed on the Eloi?

To be honest, maybe Warlocks was the better term after all. In H.G.Wells' allegory, the Morlach's were the lower caste and the Eloi were the aristocracy, as evolved, eons after global war. Kind of the opposite of my original point.

Nah, your initial assessment is spot on. Fruit eaters who are fodder for the carnivores despite their aristocratic airs. Sounds about right.

From an extract about the book: The Eloi are one of two post-human races existing in Mor, the year 802,701 AD. They are descended from upper-class individuals, live above-ground, and are the main food source for the Morlocks.
The Eloi are a happy people, who speak a
simple language and are mainly interested in playfulness. They often play with flowers and other amusing items. Physically, they are shorter than humans, have blond hair, smooth skin, and are weaker than modern humans. They only eat fruit which means they are frugivores.

Spot on, except for the happy part....modern-day Eloi never seem happy.

If you ever find that article again, please post. Would be an interesting read.

    Ban meat
    Ban Hunting
    Ban Guns

They haven't had any luck banning guns on the premise that they are used to kill people. Maybe they're trying to lay the groundwork for banning guns because they kill bunnies and deer.
If meat were illegal on an animal cruelty basis, hunting would soon be illegal as well. "No hunting rifles", yanks the rug out from under even democrats with guns.

I don't care what those leftist nuts do. There's no way I'm going to stop eating meat even if the only meat I can get my hands on is their pets.
