That reminds me of the time I walked into a friends gun
shop many years ago. He had a piece of sand paper and
a new Browning HiPower magazine. It was obvious he was
going to remove some material from it. I asked what was
wrong with it & he said it wouldn't drop free. I picked up
what I needed & as I was paying, I told I would give him
$10 for the magazine. He said Ok & I paid up. As I was going
out the door, I told him if he removed the magazine disconnect,
all the magazines would drop free. His mouth was still open as
I closed the door behind me.

Ha! Just removed one from a Mk. III this week, and wasn't that fun.

I once was presented with a 1907 Savage .32 that was locked up solid and was asked what I could do.

I pulled the grips, put it in a sock and boiled it in a pot of water. Don't know what they were using for gluebricant.

But the heat treatment worked like a charm.
