It's the annual 4th of July city parade where I volunteer for field comms duty.

As usual, the late night email from the city goes out on the 3rd thanking the 100+ volunteers, and also mentions oh, btw, you people with CCWs know you can't go armed as a "city employee" on the 4th.

And as usual, I just add an extra pistol, ammo, and dagger to my daily carry and laugh my ass off all day at the irony of it all...

I don't believe in violence and would never carry a weapon in public.

Armed mission from TX to Alaska and back. Two different airlines. Only the crew could know we were armed. BTW, Ketchikan Alaska is beautiful.

To a modern American, it does feel strange to carry a gun aboard an aircraft. It may not actually be the ultimate NPE, but it causes the stomach to flutter a bit.

    Glad you enjoyed Ketchikan.
