Talk to me about Bay Boats...
I live on the Gulf Coast of FL and and looking at buying a boat. We have lots of awesome skinny water fishing all over. I just ran a 24' Carolina Skiff with a 115 on it out to blue water. When I had to race to storm back to shore the wife and dog were not happy. So I believe if I want to keep the wife and dog on board, and want to be able to chase redfish and Grouper, I want a Bay Boat at least 24' long. Something like this, I think.

But I dont know what I don't know.
Show me your boat and tell me what you use it for. Tell me about the boat you wish you never bought, and why.
Thanks for the helps gents. I need to know things to get the final push pass the admin department.

Only advice I can give is allot 50% more resources (time, money, work) that you plan on owning a boat, and 50% less fun-factor.
I would recommend renting versus owning a boat when you need to be on the water.
