Am I the only one who is questioning how I made it to my mid-40s without ever having heard to Malort? I'm crazy curious now...

Dude, trust me. This is not a bad thing. Consider yourself lucky.

A recent trip to Ireland turned me on to:

    1) Redbreast 12
    2) Bushmills 16
    3) Green Spot
    4) Midleton

There is a lot going on with Irish whiskey, worth checking out.

Those are both quite good, particularly the Mitcher's Sour Mash. Tin Cup is a good one from Colorado. If you like it, try Breckenridge.
Finally got around to trying Michterís Sour Mash. Ladies and gentlemen, we have a winner!

Lagavulin 16. First scotch Ive ever tried (Im a bourbon guy), different from what Im used to but good. 2-4 times more expensive than other things in my area, like makers mark, bulleit, or Jamo black.
