You are correct! The Backdraft Cobra, factory built in South Africa. A 50th birthday present from my long suffering wife. She likes convertibles but would not get on the back of my motorcycle. So this is the compromise machine. I was riding less and less since she would not go with me, so after 30 accident free years on two wheels I gave my Harley to my brother and settled in for a four wheeled motorcycle! A 345 horse 302...big fun.
No windows, no roof, no heater, no radio. The side pipes and the five speed Tremec provide the soundtrack.
Sex on four wheels ! I always loved the cobras but the XO likes a top and heat/ac so I have the MUCH slower Miata RF. Still a ton of fun though and great lines , though I almost called and pulled the trigger on this

Thanks! That Alpha GTO looks like a lot of fun for the money. It it was built by Alpha, that is worth a look. Kits vary so much in quality/assembly...most of them are worthy of the crappy reputation that kit cars have, but some are really worthwhile. I looked at a Cobra built by a retired engineer that was flawless...and 50 others that I would not drive around the block. But a factory built car, that is a horse of a different color.
One of the things to check for is the wiring. A lot of times it is out of sight, and a home built car can have some pretty slipshod work because of that. Here is a picture of the wiring on my Backdraft. Factory built by people that care!

Traded off the 2014 Expedition LE Limited (I like to have lots of room to carry stuff/people) on a new F250 crew cab long bed 4WD. Not real fancy, but I'm liking it. Got the LineX spray in bed lines and undercoating. Just got the interior stain/wear resistant treatment done. Looking for a topper/camper shell and considering options/cost.
Took it on a break in road trip last weekend. Thirteen and a half mpg going up to the mountains. Sixteen and seven tenths mpg coming back. Hell, my old Chevy did really good to bet 17 mpg on the same roads coming back from WV. I'm feeling better about this big sucker with almost 400 hp and over 400 lb/ft of torque. Got the off road package so it's up a bit, bigger tires, skid plates, etc. It also had the snow plow package so it's got the 240 amp alternator and two big batteries under the hood. I really like all the door pocket storage. No problem getting the flashlight and two double magazine pouches in the bottom pocket and still have room left for the charger cables, knife, tire pressure gauge, cinnamon gum and a water bottle. Smaller pocket above it for other stuff.
Not something intended for tight trails. My front carport is 23 ft. long. It barely fits with just inches left under the roof front and back.
Just found out last night it's got a 48 gallon gas tank. Missed that earlier as it's not specifically listed on the window sticker as it's standard on the long bed crew cab trucks.
Good thing it's got the running boards. Helps us old folks get in/out.
Takes up more than it's share of the front carport. Have to park over near the center or the roof would scrape. Gotta be a good way to raise the carport up a foot or so.

quick trick, there is a hidden latch on the rear seat drivers side. There are kits available to make it an access pull latch like the passenger side, but I just used a piece of discrete paracord. Gives you a great and relatively hidden place to store BOB , truck gun , etc.

Traded my rav4 prime in the other week. Just got the ppf, tires replaced, and ceramic tint finished up, today.
