2019 F350KR and Grand Designs Reflection. Bought them both this week while taking a month sabbatical from work. Loving the mountains but it's COLD!

Same reason I got my 350 (18 Platinum). Been full timing it in the camper for 14 months now, through two PA winters. It gets easier every time; only had my water freeze up for a little while on 2 occasions this year. Lol

Callmebubba my bride and I have been thinking about possibly selling our home and hitting the road. We are 70 and in good health. Why did you take to the highway?

Transient construction worker. It made sense at the time because the job I have was never supposed to stay stationary for this long (26 months in one location now, 14 of it in the camper). In retrospect I could have saved money to rent a house but my situation is completely different than yours. It’s just me (I’m not quite 30) and a corgi so space isn’t an issue. It would NOT have worked for me and my ex-wife but I had a neighbor last year who had a wife and 3 kids in one slightly smaller than mine who were happy as could be.
I am not a minimalist and did not take a minimalist approach when I bought it. It’s 37’ long + the nose, leather recliners, residential refrigerator, king size bed, 50” TV, etc. A friend did the opposite, bought a used, 30’ bumper pull that he could pay cash for and only lasted 4 months. Now he swears living in a camper is terrible.
It’s not for everyone but in my little niche of the world it’s the general standard of living and most prefer it to moving in and out of rent houses/ apartments (myself included).

Very interesting and this really makes sense for your situation. I like your approach as a non minimalist. Thanks for the explanation. Live well.

Maybe too grayman, lol? That pelican case is cabled in securely behind the seats. The AK is my current truck gun (took a class with Randy Harris with it), but I almost always have an AR pistol/Stakeout/PDW in the front with me.
