    Default 1903 colt, anyone have one?

    Just wondering how they shoot. I want one but want to know if they are reliable, plus goods and bads.....

    Yes.
    Flat, heavy, accurate, reliable. Light recoil.
    Tiny sights, thumb safety that is too small to acquire under stress and that lacks positive detents.
    Allegedly not drop safe. Holster carry advised, even in a pocket.
    The 1903 is a good pistol for all that, but the Walther PP in .32 is far better.

    Stay away from the 1908 (.380), which had reliability problems.

    Colt is making them again, I’m thinking about getting a new one.

    i would be more inclined to carry a new 1903 with modern steel and new pins and springs than a 100 year old version.

    What would add the cool factor to an old one is if was factory engraved and was in good condition. Other then that new would be better.
