First day back in court was an Evidentiary Hearing with no jury, so it was slacks/sport coat.

But this was for the jury. Always go full dress for the Jury.

Mr. Demosthenes: Black parade gloss Kiwi, spit, and one of the wife’s old pantyhose. Learned it in the Academy. Our Senior RTO was a former Marine Drill Sergeant and we were his last Academy class before retirement. He loved to make you “beat face on the deck” for any little transgressions. Then it would be “Did you scuff your boots doing my push-ups? 20 more and 500 words of your best block printing on WHY you would come onto my grinder with lint on a magazine follower/threads on your collar/back pants pocket unbuttoned/missed element of 211 and WHY you scuffed your boots doing my push-ups. Due at the end of the day!”

CoastalCop: In San Fran-sh!t-hole, the defense can get away with coming into court in jeans and sneakers. But we got all the SW evidence in and was able to present all to the jury. The Public Defender was pissed. Almost made me miss the Job. Almost.

Mr. Nichols: Thanks to you as well. Your sartorial knowledge impresses as much as you tactical skills and your ability to beguile a class with a ribald tale of your other “skills.”

    Always entertaining, mildly offensive
IANative: Indeed, when you grab Brent (or he grabs you), it feels like liquid unobtanium wrapped in rawhide... whereas Greg is just solid muscle wrapped in hate, seasoned w/ snuff and a little lead.

DI’s are the sharp edge, Gunnys are the backbone, and grunts are the blade.
Your RTO is no doubt proud, and should be, wherever he is.

    Thank you, Sir.

My Senior RTO passed back in 2007 at age 73, in uniform working on a private security detail.

So I think we know where he is. And I do hope he is proud of his young boots, both in the USMC and Law Enforcement.
