First, I'm in a similar situation at work.

However, I'm with Skipper,Kowalski,Rico, and Private. Smile and wave during "EMP" training, procedure updates and add nothing to the conversation.Know your active shooter/knife/vehicle attack EMPs. This way you will be able to reasonably articulate your actions ( as you ignored/re-interpreted procedures) when you where thrust into such dire life threatening circumstance(s).

At my usual post there can be over 10k sheep shopping simultaneously in a 65 acre open outlet/mall area...yeah, chaos/confusion in a bad situation.

The problem with computers is they arm the stupid and spineless with information. Courage, common sense and will doesn't transfer well over the net.

Don't waste your energy on them, like Gabe said, Smile and wave, when the day comes, work your own plan. If they ask afterwards why you didn't follow SOP's and lock the door, tell them that in all the excitement, you forgot.

From the chaos create order, rise above the confusion and kill your enemy while he sleeps.
