Default Moving jobs after 20 years!

I have been with my current company for 20 years. Starting in January I will be doing IT for the Fire Dept. For the last 11 years I have been in a van pool that it takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes for me each way.

It will now take me 15 minutes to get to work. Can't wait to start. It feels like a big weight has been lifted.

Congrats! My last job change was a similar commute change, and holy crap has it been amazing to not have to deal with the commute!

Congrats, you just got back 2 Hours and 50 minutes a day. Spend it well, Gym, spouse, dry fire, meditate, kids etc. Don't let it get sucked up by Netflix. Plan and use the time well.
About three years ago I went from ~1 hour each way in a car to 15 minutes on a bike. Gym went from 1-2x week to almost every day.

Plans that I want to fill it with. I just need to figure out the timing and funds.
Gym I have had trouble figuring out how to get exercise back in my life.
Finish up my three degrees that I am 6 classes away from completing
more family time, ride bikes and other tings
Have more time to work in my black smith shop
Join Brent Yamamoto's dojo. Need to work out at the gym for a while before this. I need to have some endurance before his class kills me right away. LOL

Right on! Should make it easier to meet up for some range time.
