I'm assuming it's machined and hardened tool steel?

What are the advantages of a lightened striker? (I know some, but sell me this striker.)

The same as for a Glock. We have been making lightened strikers for Glocks for some time. Ask the guys that run them. And yes...hardened steel not MIM

These are the best strikers Ive ever installed in a Glock. My training pistol saw four times the ammo as my duty pistol. Youd never know it checking the engagement. A Suarez trigger, Suarez firing pin, and a Suarez NP3 firing pin safety make for a smooth, clean, and safe trigger. These are the only parts I recommend or install on my customers pistols.

This is my duty pistol and old firing pin. The hardened steel firing pins negate this negative outcome.

I understand why not, but it'd be nice to have SI strikers in .45.
