    Default Chocolate Soldiers

    Another gentleman killer. Interesting to see that others are bumping heads with modern Christianity.

    For much of the 20th century and now, western christians have been characterized as self-loathing pacifists. I recall butting heads with catholic nuns in the 1960s as a 4th grader with the Cuban memory fresh in my mind. I will say that I have absolutely no use for the common "peace at any price", lofty-minded, femo-believers with their pacifist crap brains that often represent the faith today.

    And I expect few would want people like me in their groups if they knew who and what we really are.

    And the fact that we are even discussing this matter is proof that the western domesticated church has lost its way.

    Used to be, we sang:

    Onward, Christian soldiers!
    Marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus
    Going on before.
    Christ, the royal Master,
    Leads against the foe;
    Forward into battle,
    See his banners go!

    ... Like a mighty army
    Moves the Church of God;
    Brothers, we are treading
    Where the Saints have trod.
    We are not divided;
    All one body we:
    One in hope and doctrine,
    One in charity.

    Onward, Christian soldiers!
    Marching as to war,
    With the cross of Jesus
    Going on before.

    I'm going to mention something. Probably going to be unpopular.
    The great commission is what? A command to make disciples. Part of discipleship is what? Bible study and taking the time to bring up newer and or younger believers so they can be more learned in the scripture. That warriorship element is biblical and not taught. What's our excuse for not teaching it? "how will they know without a preacher" (Romans 10:14)
    Those who persue growth and obedience in their faith, service (discipleship) is not an option.
    Make a difference or be part of the problem.
    Be alert, stand firm in the faith, act like a man, be strong. Your every action must be done with love.

    “Adversity introduces a man to himself.”
