    Ragsbo,
    I married a preacher's daughter & we watched
her mom decline over a two year period. She
passed 3 years ago. She was content, ready
& full of grace to her last breath. The epitome
    of a country preachers wife.

God Speed & prayers lifted for you & the family.

The Ole Hiefer's Dad walked her down the aisle then turned around and did the wedding! I saw him get his paycheck from a church then hand it back since he knew they did not have the funds to pay it. He cared more about the preaching than the money. He was more of a dad to me than my own in many ways. He has a major stroke and she took care of him for years. I promised him I would look after her for him.

My father-in-law did the same same thing
with my wife. He walked her down the aisle
& then performed the ceremony. He passed
about a year after we were married in 1993.
He had congestive heart failure. I also promised
him I would take care of Cindy's mom, and she
passed 3 summers ago, just 3 months after my
mother passed. My dad passed in 2008. It's just
us & our 13 year old boy. Our parents did well for
us on all fronts, so it's our turn to continue that
    legacy.

    Cherish your families, everyone.

    God Bless.
