The beaver tail along with the guttersnipe G17 frame package would go together like Appalachian cousins.

I'm a glass is "half full" kind of guy. Speaking of glasses I'm going to have this beaver tail treatment done to my G19 and to a G17 frame while it's in for the guttersnipe package.

this is for individuals with meaty hands and a high grip that sometimes get "bitten" by the slide.
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit upon his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

The beaver tail may protect meaty hands, but it also allows a higher repeatable grip for those of us with normal sized hands. The result is less felt recoil and more efficient follow through/recovery.

Thanks for the explanation Jon. I had the same question, just needed some more education
