I absolutely LOVE hearing (and better yet SEEING) stuff like this. THIS is how police should be everyday.

Warrior spirit there. She responded to the threat and attacked while the other officer hugged her cover and hid, waiting to be shot. AAR will show several things that could have been done better, should have been at gunpoint as soon as they saw the gun on a suspect stop, but no one hurt but the bad guy is a good day.

Good training, good FTO's and a good cop.

Thanks for teaching that mindset and that style of gunfighting here Gabe.

Great job by DPS Trooper Hope Hohertz, but not impressed with that other gal officer at all!

Thought I would piggyback on this post. Texas women ;) I should add that this one is not the trooper in question, but rather another female warrior.

I was this ones FTO when she got her start in LE, taught her gunfighting not academy quals. A few years later she picked up with CCPD. suspect was pronounced on scene. Works with SWAT and training now .

Bravo Zulu to you sir for training a warrior. Thank you for that. She certainly prevented the funeral of the local cop.

Nice. I titled the thread as a did as Hope was a member of my congregation since birth. I've only been here about 5 years so I didn't know her growing up, but I'm told she's been a lights out shot for years ... country kids, ya know. ;)

Notice the bad guy's posture, on receiving the fatal hit(s).

Since he couldn't very well catch fire, he changed shape.

    Very well done.
