I hated Atlanta. I despised it. I loathed it. But the north Georgia mountains hold several wonderful little hamlets that I could happily call home. Helen, Dahlonega, Toccoa. I'm also quite fond of Madison. I thoroughly enjoyed my years in Athens, but I returned once when I was 26 or so and I felt like a really old man. If you are in Helen, be sure to let your wife go through the Christmas shop. And you'll need to give up the paleo food limitations for a while.
