I have a great XO. She got me the booster and adapter to run my form 1 can on my sweet Suarez blaster...

Also warmed some brass with the new to me tack driving Dan Wesson... it was getting a bit close and had to push it all the way out to 25 yards before the g17 pulled away from the old girl....

She has a single action that most 1911's dream of. The double is a little stacky.. but she can run Mozambique drills quick enough to be a fightin' iron... primary for hogs.. just need to run some hot Underwood or BB through her and she is ready for the field.

All in all a great day at the range... much better then being at work...

Yesterday. Hacksawed out the forward section of the gas tube on a friend's SKS. A previous owner thoughtfully omitted the extension and spring, then fired it, all without thoroughly cleaning tube and piston of the factory packing grease.
It was impossible to move the piston forward.
The handguard can be readily replaced, the spring and extension less so, but the part that is rarer still is the safety tensioning spring. Who'd have thought?

My buddy is letting me borrow/use his slide battle plate until I get my RMR situation. He acquired a Gen 2 RMR last weekend.

Just changed my GSRs scope mount to lower rings, waiting on the 1 piece EGW 20MOA mount to arrive on the 22nd.

I shot my both of my Tac-14's &
both of my G43's last Friday.

    Both of the Remingtons have
    RMR's. I grew very attached
to my first one really quick,
so I had to have another one.

My first 43 has an RMS that SI
installed for me. I'll now be in the
hunt for the correct SD ammo for it.

My second G43, that I just picked up
a few weeks ago, has a phenomenal
factory trigger. I did add SI flat triggers
to both of them, and I'm watching SI's
website everyday for more info on the
    proposed slide.

    Later!
